I finally accepted my purpose in life.
I fought it, thinking it wasn’t BIG enough. It came too easily. But when you come of age at 62, it’s time to embrace your calling.
Chatting.
I’m a natural. I can chat up most anyone. My ideal person just needs to:
- have a sense of humor (I can’t abide humorless people) and
- like to answer questions about themselves.
That’s a large niche. I’m golden.
Just today while talking with a stranger I learned:
- He is from southern Tunisia.
- His parents have a business in Paris.
- He worked at the Paris bizĀ for awhile but then went back to Tunisia.
- He is living in America because it is his destiny.
- He wanted to travel and visited New York City.
- He met a girl and stayed in America.
- I could tell you what his next five jobs were; where his wife is from and more.
Do you know that much about the last stranger you encountered?
In fact, when was the last time you really talked to a stranger?
(I should have these questions in a survey format to determine the competition before I go for Angel Financing to fund my Professional Chatting Business.)
I’ll start with a kiosk in a mall. Then I’ll expand to the lobbies of corporations. Hotels. Airports. “HAVE EARS, WILL LISTEN” (If you have an idea for a better name please leave it in the comment section).
In this day and age when people are so busy, when connections are often on-line vs. face-to-face, this would be a novelty. And powerful.
Of course I’m joking. I’m not going for financing, nor opening up a Chatting Business; but I made that man’s day and he and I both felt good about it.
See who you can chat-up today. They’ll appreciate it.

Sweet insight and generous advice. I too am a fan of chatting although I suspect you’d beat me for the gold medal!
