A proven 3-step process that powerfully positions you to live a purpose driven life. *
  • Need help to move from feeling something’s missing in your life to figuring out what your next step is to find purpose and meaning for yourself ?
  • Ready to make an impact in the world and get the support (and accountability) from like-minded women who also aren’t sure of what to do next?
  • Are you ready to say no to the status quo of an unfulfilled life and yes to leading a life driven by purpose & prosperity?

  • Eager to let your maverick spirit soar and act on the values and causes you believe in in the second half of your life?
  • Do you want to quit the corporate grind and work for the non-profit who’s helping kids turn their lives around, which is something you wanted to do for-ever?

Is that you? Then you’re where you need to be.

WHAT’S NEXT? provides the tools, process and support for you to first gain clarity about who you are and what makes you, you. That information creates the strong foundation that helps you then determine and act on building the kind of purpose driven life you long for.

The next dates for this transformative, ninety minute, interactive 6 week teleseminar will be in January, 2013.

Three Installment Option of $250.00

Rather than living the second half of your life based on what others have told you you should do – which is depleting and unfulfilling – you finally cull the information that is right inside you. Believing in yourself and your innate wisdom leads you to confidently pursue the purpose driven and satisfying life you’ve longed for.

It’s healing and inspiring to identify your own strengths.

Your own values.

Your own desires.

Taking Stock and Getting Clear (the first two of the three steps in WHAT’S NEXT?) help you identity what makes you you and gain clarity on what you want to do next in life. It takes you away from the voice that says “I’m not enough.” “I’m not ready” and replaces it with ” I can do this.” “My purpose & goals are so much clearer now.”

Often times, not living the life you want, feeling lethargic and like you’re standing at a crossroads with no GPS, is more about a lack of clarity than a lack of drive or confidence. With WHAT’S NEXT? you gain that clarity and vision to do what you really want:

  • find work that provides flexibility so you have time for your children or grandchildren
  • prepare for the triathlon you’ve dreamed about competing in for years. You’re not too old do it!
  • create a lifestyle career that fits with the maverick spirit you’ve always had but didn’t have the courage to follow through on
  • move near the ocean to be in an environment that feeds your soul and creativity
  • become an activist for increased funding for autism studies
“Cherry has enormous transferable knowledge. She also knows how to listen and cull the essence of what’s being said. It’s almost as if she hears the words behind the words. You definitely get more than your money’s worth when working with Cherry.”  Mark McLaughlin, Regional HRBP for North and Middle America at Yara

After decades of experience as a group facilitator/coach, I saw and heard the power that comes out of the interactions, the support, and the accountability of learning and working with a group.

Are you a person who resists working in groups?

I used to be like that. If you told me I had to share in front of a group, I’d want to barf, figuratively and literally.

I so did not want to look stupid.

I also didn’t really want to listen to the other people in the group, how was that helping me?

But listening to other people’s stories and ideas did help me. I learned more from group work than I ever learned on my own.

There was also more accountability to follow through on my work with a group than simply 1:1 work. And my experience is not unique.

  • Mastermind groups continue to be successful because of the results members achieve and the relationships formed.
  • Studies show that individuals, particularly women, attain their goals more readily when they have five people who function as supportive mentors.

I provide the structure, the tools, facilitation and coaching.

You, working with the other 4 to 8 members of the group, are the core who make the WHAT’S NEXT? program sparkle and come alive with your interactions, insights, support and humor.

You’re also finally takes action on what you want to do next in life, providing you with the joy that comes with clarity and purpose.

Want more details? No problema.

Pre-work

Yep, there’s pre-work. Fun and illuminating pre-work. You’ll take the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory and come up with 4 letters that are sorta-like your name. It describes the type you are, based on 16 categories.

Your type is identified and characterized in areas such as Where do you put your attention and get your energy? Do you like to spend time in the outer world of people and things [E], or in your inner world of ideas and images [I]?

I used to travel throughout North America co-facilitating training with a woman who was an “E”. I’m an “I”. We both had the same amount of energy during the classes but by the end of the day, my battery was depleted, where hers was now fully charged. She wanted to go out and explore the new city with people from our class; I wanted to go back to my room and be alone, which was how I re-charged my battery. It was great when I learned my type and realized my response was normal for me. It didn’t mean I was unfriendly or anything close to that.

The MBTI also addresses areas like: Do you pay more attention to information that comes in through your five senses, to physical reality, facts, details [S] or do you pay more attention to your impressions, the patterns and possibilities that you see in the information you receive [N]? I’m an “N” and learning that was a god-send for me. I use to criticize myself for not having a good memory because when I recall an event it’s usually more as an impression of what it was like, rather than the details of it. It was good to learn that it was just my type, my style of attention, rather than a poor memory or poor awareness. If it’s important to remember details, I can do so but I have to consciously pay attention, it isn’t typically my default position.

You’ll be excited to have different aspects of yourself framed in new contexts and that’s what happens in the pre-work and class discussions.  As Isabel Briggs Myers said: “Whatever the circumstances of your life, the understanding of type can make your perceptions clearer, your judgments sounder and your life closer to your heart’s desire.” Isabel Briggs Myers.

“I took a class with Cherry. I learned so much about myself through our Myers-Briggs work and how to better interact with people who were different types than me. I had some Aha moments that surprised me.” Marlene, supervisor – Martin Guitar

There’s also a Personal Planning Tool that helps you take notice of what was going on in your life in the prior year. You’ll organize what you accomplished. (It’s usually way more than you realize when you just think about it off the top of your head. It’s a great feeling). You also get to take a deep breath and focus on what you want to accomplish moving ahead. There can be some real surprises for you here too.

Then there’s the Strengthsfinder 2.0 assessment. Oh doggies, there are learnings that come out of this one. It’s so much more gratifying to be zeroing in on your strengths rather than the trap many people fall into of looking at what’s “wrong” with themselves and reviewing their weaknesses or shortfalls. This is a great opportunity to build on your strengths and use them in answering WHAT’S NEXT in your life/work.

Particularly for the visual learners among you, there’s the Life Wheel. It’s the old a picture’s worth a thousand words, giving you an easy way to see where you spend most of your time: work, family, spirituality and more. Sometimes the results of this visual jump up and smack you in the face with information that you just weren’t noticing anymore – like “when did I stop spending time doing the things I love?”

Identifying Your Values work is eye-opening for some people. The realization that perhaps why you’ve been unhappy and out-of-sorts with what you’ve been doing is because it doesn’t fit your values or at some level has had you living out of full alignment with your values, which is not a happy-camper place to be.

Taking Stock-the first step in the process (covered in Sessions 1 & 2)

  1. In a busy life most people don’t take the time to focus on themselves and really think about what they want. In the two session devoted to Taking Stock you really start to see where you are and what you’re about. There are many A-Ha moments about your strengths,  values,  priorities  and goals.
  2. You begin to integrate and explore what you’ve learned. What strength(s) have you overlooked, underutilized, overused? Do your goals fit with your values and type?.
  3. You’ll start to receive support and validation from the group and find out “you’re not the only one” feeling confused or critical of yourself.

Get Clear-the second step in the process (Sessions 3 & 4)

  1. Here the light bulbs start to go off and you gain further clarity on what you learned about yourself when you took stock.
  2. You learn ways to  move  forward.
  3. You identify your wants in the context of all you learned. Is what you thought you wanted, still accurate? With reflection and discussion the path you want to take becomes clearer, more solidified. Some people realize what they thought they wanted doesn’t really fit with who they are. You’ll see “I want this; I don’t want that.”
  4. You receive deeper support and accountability from the group.

Act (Sessions 5 & 6)

  1. Learn about testing and trying out your ideas for what you want next.
  2. Identify initial steps to move you toward your chosen purpose.
  3. Take the leap. Push your edge by following through on your identified first steps. Share your experience in the next/last class.
  4. Create a plan on how you’ll continue forward after the end of the program.
  5. You’ll receive feedback from me on areas of change I’ve seen in you from the first class to last class.

If you’re here, then you’re feeling & believing that it’s finally YOUR time to live a purpose driven life related to your desires. Make the second half of your life about your choices for yourself. WHAT’S NEXT? creates a safe place for you to figure out what it is you really want to do to live on-purpose.

One response to “WHAT’S NEXT?”

  1. Cherry Woodburn

Dawn Lennon tried to post this following an email blast I sent on the WHAT’S NEXT? program. there are some word press glitches:

“Loved your example of the torn up kitchen and the inconsistency of messages from your landlord. It was a terrific lead in to reinforce the value of your upcoming program. Too often we fail to look at ourselves and our thinking in ways that translate into a more realistic and useful approach to our lives. Your seminar will open windows that we may have closed. ~Dawn”
